We have regular monthly weeding or track maintenance parties (and occasionally planting days), usually on the second Sunday of each month from 9 am to 12:30 pm (8:30 am to 12 noon during summer).
We have also been active in the preservation of the Aranda Snow Gums Heritage Site, a frost-hollow below the Aranda Bushland, in Smith's Paddock adjacent to William Hovell Drive (currently leasehold), the only surviving site of this type within the city of Canberra. Snowgums lost through erosion etc. have been replaced with seedlings grown from local seed by local schools.
Work parties alternate between the Aranda Bushland and the Aranda Snow Gums, with one activity each year in the rural lease between these.
We also organize "Clean-up Australia Day" once a year, and participate in public consultations on nature conservation in the ACT.
